About the event

QiGong (pronounced CHEE GONG) is a mind-body workout composed of gentle stretching and flowing exercises, rhythmic breathing and meditation. The slow rhythmic movements of the body prevent stiffness and stagnation, decrease stress and increase energy.  This energy workout is the art of preventing dis-ease and prolonging life.

What causes stagnation in the body?

Repetitive movements, injury, a sedentary lifestyle, improper posture and stress are among the greatest reasons for energy blockages in the body. When these types of things build up over time, we may experience aches and pains and perhaps the beginning of dis-ease.

QiGong is easy to learn, is a great complement to any other type of exercise and can be done by anyone at any age. Noticeable benefits include better sleep, increased flexibility, better balance, enhanced mood and more energy.  QiGong focuses on holistic health by addressing all of who you are:  mind, body and spirit.

The ancients say that QiGong adds years to your life and life to your years.
