About the event
If you've been at all active, it's likely you have had to "rehab" from an injury or surgery. This often involves a physical therapist who prescribes and monitors exercises to gradually return a joint, muscle or limb to full function and strength.
This workshop is a chance to "pre-hab." We will learn and practice a range of functional movements and exercises to maintain the mobility, stability and strength of our joints to prevent injury and loss of function. Participants will cycle through a series of whole group and small group stations to focus on the use of foam rollers, bands, bodyweight and light weights to promote range of motion, stability and foundational strength from head to toes.
Everyday Fitness is an innovative way to create exercise routines that work for your body, mind and schedule. As we age, there are many factors to take into account in order to maintain and improve our physical wellbeing: cardiovascular health, muscular strength, power, and endurance, as well as flexibility, mobility, balance and stability to maintain the health of bones and joints.

Exercise physiologist, Linda Castronovo, and personal trainer, Jo Glading-DiLorenzo are long-time friends and lifelong athletes. Given their preferences, Linda would always choose to be in the woods, and Jo would always choose to be on a bicycle. As we've aged, however, we've come to understand the importance of maintaining healthy muscle, bone, and movement patterns by incorporating more than just our preferred activities into our exercise routines.
Join us for an experiential exploration of what it takes to move with freedom, resilience, safety and JOY as we age.
Space is limited to 16 participants. Please register below.
This workshop, like all of events, is offered freely to all. If you'd like to support Everyday Wellbeing's mission to make vibrant health accessible to all, please make a donation, or mail a check to Everyday Wellbeing to 5 Edgewood Terrace, Hadley MA 01035.
Thank you!
